YEARS IN BUSINESS
Your parents are slower getting up the stairs.
They forget small things.
The house they’ve lived in for decades suddenly feels unsafe.
And the idea of assisted living doesn’t sit right.
You don’t want them isolated.
You don’t want them vulnerable.
You don’t want their independence taken away.
But you also can’t ignore the risk of leaving them alone.
This isn’t just about building a home.
It’s about protecting the people who've always protected you.

We design and build fully custom homes that allow:
• Private in-law suites or attached wings
• Separate entrances for independence
• ADA-aware design considerations
• Main-level primary living
• Elevator planning (if needed)
• Sound separation for privacy
• Shared family gathering spaces
This isn’t an afterthought addition.
It’s intentional, architectural planning from day one.
Whether you already own land or are planning a build in Blue Ridge, Buckhead, Milton, or Sandy Springs — we coordinate the entire process from design through construction.
One team.
One plan.
One clear path forward.
Our team has guided families from raw land to move-in for over 20 years, managing architectural design, engineering, council approvals, and construction under one coordinated process.
Family is everything to me.
Providing families in Georgia with comfort and solutions for lifestage "forever homes" is our specialty.
It's what drives our company to always exceed expectations.
Allow us to bring what matters to you most, all under one roof.

Ready to get started?
The first six months of our partnership are dedicated to "building the home on paper."
This is a sophisticated, multi-track process where our design, engineering, and financial teams work in tandem to de-risk your project and ensure that when we break ground, every variable is accounted for.
During this phase, we execute the following critical pillars:
We believe a custom home should be exactly that—custom. We don’t work from a catalog; we design with you and for you.
Our drafting team collaborates with you to create a one-of-a-kind floor plan from scratch. To bridge the gap between a blueprint and reality, we produce high-fidelity 3D visualizations, allowing you to virtually "walk through" your home and refine the flow before a single nail is driven.
A beautiful home is only as stable as the land beneath it.
We manage the heavy lifting of technical site preparation, including topography studies, soil analysis, and environmental assessments.
This work culminates in a final "Proposed Site Plan"—a comprehensive engineering document required for permitting that details exactly how the home, driveway, utilities, and grading will integrate with your specific lot.
To move from a vision to a physical structure, the "math" must be flawless.
We develop a detailed, line-item scope of work for the entire construction process.
Because we design, order, and implement every fixture and finish on a one-off basis we have the flexibility to ensure a budget that is right for you.
Finally, we synthesize the design, the engineering, and the budget into a professional Builder’s Package.
This document is the "gold standard" for lenders; it provides the transparency and detail they require to approve custom construction financing at the best possible rates.
Simultaneously, this package is submitted for permitting, ensuring that our "breaking ground" date is backed by full county approval and a locked-in budget.

Over the years, I’ve seen friends of mine with families who waited too long.
They were forced into rushed decisions after a fall, a health scare, or a crisis.
Building intentionally changes that.
When we design a multi-generational home, we plan for dignity, independence, and privacy — not just proximity.
It’s one of the most meaningful projects we build.
Because it isn’t just about architecture.
It’s about responsibility.
We build where you want to be.
By investing this time upfront, we eliminate the "surprises" that plague most custom builds.
When you transition from this phase into active construction, you do so with the confidence that your home is structurally sound, legally permitted, and financially solidified.
The workmanship and communication were excellent. Everything was well thought out and they took the extra time to walk my wife through all of the selections.
I am proud of our new home and glad that the major investment we made was entrusted to the right people! There are always cheaper ways to do things, but the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten!
We are grateful for everyone at Summit Design & Build who helped in all the stages of designing, building, styling and for making sure that our future retirement home is energy efficient, low maintenance and staying in our budget meant the world to us.
The WHOLE TEAM are extremely TALENTED and its has been a very positive and stress-free journey. We would highly recommend them for any project you may have. Summit will work with you on every detail to build the home of your dreams!
We love Summit Design & Build!!! We searched FOREVERRRR for the best builder in Atlanta who knows the Blue Ridge area and we found them! Brian's team is seriously the BEST!!! We’re over the moon with our new place in Blue Ridge! Brian and his crew took my ideas and turned them into something beyond what we originally had in mind! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a builder for their next custom home!

Here are the answers clients ask for most, when beginning the process.
Unlike builders who use "run-of-the-mill" plans, our process focuses on custom-designed floorplans tailored specifically to the client. This highlights our drafting and design team (like Lynsey and Ashley) who create 3D visualizations from scratch.
We welcome them! While we have a full in-house design and drafting team, we frequently collaborate with outside architects. Our role in this scenario shifts to Pre-Construction Consulting. We take your existing plans and perform a thorough "buildability" and budget review.
Because we are the ones actually sourcing the materials and managing the trades, we can often spot opportunities for value engineering or structural improvements that look good on paper but might be impractical in the field.
Absolutely not. We don't believe in "Tier 1" or "Tier 2" packages. Every selection is curated on a one-off basis for your specific home.
Our design team sources, orders, and implements finishes based solely on your aesthetic.
If you can dream it (or find it on Pinterest), we can integrate it into your build.
We bridge this gap by connecting clients with trusted loan originators who specialize in construction-to-permanent financing, often offering more competitive rates than local consumer banks.
We provide a client portal for 24/7 online access to project updates. Additionally, our process involves dedicated project managers (like Greg) who meet with vendors and subcontractors to ensure the client’s vision isn't lost during the build, as well as scheduled job site walkthroughs with the builder himself at all key points in the building timeline.
Yes. We take a holistic approach to your property.
Whether it’s a custom pool, an outdoor kitchen, boutique landscaping, or additional outbuildings like a workshop or guest cottage, we manage it all. We wrap everything into one easy-to-manage scope of work, using either our in-house design team or our trusted network of affiliates.
You have one point of contact for the entire estate.
Our process includes a follow-up check-in months after the move-in date, as well as a 1 year builder warranty, to ensure 100% satisfaction.
This reinforces our commitment to enduring quality and long-term client relationships.
